Thing #6 Blogging Web 2.0 Tools

I choose to check out Google Earth as my Web 2.0 Tool to check out. As a candidate teacher for history being able to show a class where events took place world wide would make a good teaching tool. And what would be better then an interactive map where you can zoom in and out to see the towns and cities. For example if you discusses some of the Depression Era architecture projects you can show Hoover Dam or the Empire State Building and where it is located at. The thing i did not like about it is the fact you have to download it, which is a problem if trying to access it on a computer that you are not the administrator. I feel that it can be a very useful tool in the classroom to allow students to explore the world and make foreign places accessible to the students.
